Titiwangsa MP Dr Lo' Lo' Ghazali is recovering from a surgery and will not be able to receive any visitors during this festive season.
"I'm sorry, I'm not well", said Lo' Lo' in a text message to
Malaysiakini
when asked about her health.
In August, Lo' Lo' underwent surgery at the National Heart Institute (IJN) for what is believed to be a lung-related disease.
When contacted, her aide Mohd Ehsan Surur said Lo' Lo' would require a long recovery period and was too weak to receive visitors.
"It's not just visitors, she is too weak to answer the phone", said Mohd Ehsan, when asked about Lo' Lo's reluctance to answer phone calls.
Lo' Lo's condition has been the subject of widespread speculation but she has yet to reveal the type of surgery she has received. Her family members, staff and PAS leaders when contacted were reluctant to shed further details.
When Malaysiakini visited IJN last month, it was confirmed that Lo' Lo' was seeking physiotherapy at the time.
A visit to her service centre in Kampung Baru, Kuala Lumpur revealed that the premise was close.
News of Lo' Lo's illness began to spread like wildfire since August 14 when the Malaysia Waves blog urged the public to pray for the first-term Parliamentarian's health.
