There has been no reported death from Influenza A (H1N1) today, with the number of fatalities from the disease still at 77.

Director-General of Health Dr Mohd Ismail Merican, however, said 15 new cases with influenza-like illness (ILI) were admitted to hospitals today while 121 cases were discharged.

"This brings to 604, the number of patients still being treated at 91 hospitals, including 14 private," he said in a statement today.

Mohd Ismail said 151 cases had been confirmed positive for H1NI and 31 were under intensive care.

"Of the 31 patients under intensive care, 22 are in the high-risk categories - children below five years old (seven), having chronic diseases (five), obese (five), suffering from respiratory disease (three) and women who were pregnant (two).

He advised the public to continue to observe the H1N1 safety guidelines and any individual who felt unwell with influenza-like symptoms should seek immediate treatment.
