your say ‘Maybe Mahathir should be more concerned about the liabilities in his own party. I'm no fan of Samy, but clean up your backyard first before talking about someone else's.'

Dr M strikes again: Samy a liability to BN

Right On: What's appalling is that both these 'leaders' are exhibiting shameless behaviour and still think that they are relevant in today's world. What kind of value does this country have left, when these clowns keep on taking time and space within this nation?

Move on, sorry, move away, and allow others to live. Seriously, neither one of them are helping the nation and rakyat.

Tan Teng Wah: In politics, there are no permanent friends or enemies, only permanent mutual interest. Dr Mahathir Mohamad is either senile or selectively forgetful. S Samy Vellu, somewhat impotent politically, is still very much in the limelight and his former master, already a spent force.

So say what you like, Mahathir's criticisms or condemnation, however severe, could not move him a bit.

Dillon Yong: For every failure, there must be scapegoats. Pak Lah for Umno and Ong Ka Ting for MCA - both have already become the victims. Now it's high time for MIC but Samy doesn't seem to understand and is still clinging on.

And Tun is right about most leaders in our country. When they failed, they shamelessly held on to their positions.

Paramesware: Samy will not quit - as he has to be around to make his 'weak' team turn strong. He admitted this as the reason why he cannot quit now, after the recent MIC elections.

Malayamuda: Yes Tun, MIC cannot survive without Malay votes, but it has also been proven that Umno 't survive without Indian votes! And that's the service the Chinese and Indians have done for Umno despite its racist policies all these years.

Despite being sidelined by the Umno government for decades, the Chinese and Indians continued to support your racist government. Not anymore!

Md Imraz Muhammed Ikhbal: Samy Vellu is indeed a liability to MIC and BN. And he is still MIC president. Mahathir is no longer the prime minister but he is after Samy Vellu and rightfully so. Wait a while and see how Samy Vellu retaliates. There will be fireworks!

MIC will again insult Mahathir. Umno will again be in rage and this time there will be no reconciliation. Umno and MIC are headed for a big time conflict. I cannot possibly perceive a better scenario for Pakatan Rakyat, especially at the eve of another by-election.

Sad: Dr Mahathir, I disagree with you on many things. I believe you have done nothing much for the Indian Malaysians. This is one thing you are doing right -trying to get Samy to quit. Please continue with your good effort until you get him out - just like you did with Abdullah Badawi.

Hound him until he quits. It will be one of your greater services to Indians and the nation in your retirement days. Najib cannot do that.

Isana: Dear Samy, don't listen to all this detractors. You must not be pressured to quit. You have won the MIC presidency 'fairly' and now your team is in place. Stay on and lead MIC to greater glory, you must win back your Sungai Siput seat. No one can take care of the Indian community like you.

Jefferson76: Maybe Mahathir should be more concerned about the liabilities in his own party. I'm no fan of Samy, but clean up your backyard first before talking about someone else's.

Samasama: It's no holds barred now for Dr Mahathir and Samy. Samy should now stand in front of a big mirror to see whether there is any truth at all in what Mahathir had said about him. All Samy needs to do is to gracefully retire from politics with whatever respect he still holds.
