Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Nor Mohamed Yakcop said today he was willing to meet Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng next week to explain the situation on Ninth Malaysia Plan (9MP) projects for the state.

He said he did not have problems meeting Lim who wanted to be updated on the projects.

"It will be good to have the meeting because the statistics he (Lim) has come up with are not accurate," he told reporters after handing over aid to victims of a fire in Kampung Bagan Belat, here, today.

He added that he also wanted to discuss the matter of land acquisition with Lim as this was closely related to effective implementation of the projects.

Last week, Nor Mohamed had stated that the federal government would ensure that 22 9MP projects in Penang valued at RM300 million that were delayed would be completed on time.
