Supporters of sacked deputy president, Chua Soi Lek, claimed that they have obtained the minimum number of signatures to hold an emergency general assembly while party president, Ong Tee Keat, claimed that the signatures were obtained under duress.
The Star front paged Malaysian Anti- Corruption Commission's (MACC) deputy chief commissioner, Abu Kassim Mohammad saying that MACC would be installing close - circuit televisions in all of their offices in an effort to be more transparent.
