'It's raining frogs'
‘I think his (Radzhi) decision is not due to loss of confidence, but due to money being dangled in front of him. The rainy season is coming, and the frogs are happily jumping around it seems.’
Radzhi explains shock decision
Wira: Mohd Radzhi Salleh, your division members are not responsible for your win. It's the voters of Lunas. If you have an ounce of honour, you should resign your elected position and let the voters choose again.
Arasu: He travelled all the way from Lunas to Kuala Lumpur to announce the defection. Why? KL is the place where proceeds of special draws are processed. These draws are useful for the BN. The money goes towards enticing frogs to betray the trust of the voters who elected them.
And what a nice occasion to be enticed. During a special month. Oh, how pious and dedicated these frogs are. Their actual religion is money, their lifestyle is corruption and their principle is betrayal to the voters.
I hope they stand in the next elections again and test their credibility - not under the parties that they got elected last year, but under the banner of the 'thugs' who approved special draws. Having lost all hope that they cannot win any more by-elections in Peninsular Malaysia, the losers have resorted to increasing their power base through special draws for the frogs to jump.
It's only appropriate to call this band of thugs 'frog breeders'! They cannot call themselves national leaders!
Fly Emirates: If anyone from Pakatan Rakyat is reading this, the right thing to do now is to dissolve all the state assemblies of Selangor and Kedah. Weed out those frogs and non-performers. This way, the rakyat will be the winners and the frogs' value will be greatly diminished!
Horatio Caine: I think his decision is not due to loss of confidence, but due to money being dangled in front of him. The rainy season is coming, and the frogs are happily jumping around it seems.
Loyal Malaysian: Nothing in your statement justifies the fact that you had betrayed the voters that picked you based on your PKR ticket. If you renounce that, dare you resign your seat? No, like those other ugly jumping toads from Perak, you know you are where you are because of the Pakatan tsunami.
Dennis Madden: Did you consult with any of the people who elected you?
Kartika spared caning for drinking beer
Arasu: He said that the state religious department had received a letter from the Attorney-General's Chambers advising them to release Kartika temporarily as "it was not advisable for her to undergo the punishment during the fasting month". Strange - why is the AG's office getting involved in a syariah matter?
R2D2: I personally don't like to see people squander their hard-earned money on beer and all sorts of other intoxicants. Yet, I would never endorse whipping as a penalty for such indulgences. In fact, the idea of "punishment" does not enter the picture at all.
Eu Peng Meng: The world has always praised Malaysia for being a truly multiracial and open society. After what has appeared in CNN and other foreign media today, I am afraid we are going to lose a lot credibility and all the bad publicity this sad episode is going to portray.
Ong sues Tiong for RM500 mil
Ghkok: They are genuinely going after each other's throat. The reason is - MCA is fighting for its survival and Tiong is fighting for his life. That's what people do when they are pushed to a corner. I wonder when Umno will jump in.
The Truth: Another case for lawyers to make money at MCA's expense which means taxpayer's expense.
Bosco Philip Anthony: The whole scenario looks more like a bad joke.
Hindraf head to sue DAP
Eugene: Hindraf didn't just appear two months ago. It has been around since late 1997. Why didn't Hindraf raise the matter earlier rather than making a big hoo-haa when the villagers came closer to evictions? Hindraf could still bring up the issue the whole of last year or even beginning of this year.
Kenny: P Waythamoorthy brought DAP's ire on himself by his no-holds-barred attack against Lim Guan Eng and and the Penang Pakatan govt over the Kg Buah Pala issue. What is the suit for when all that was asked of him is to account for the money? Nobody has accused him of embezzling money. Is the suit to silence people for his misdeeds?
Rohaizat's 'father-in-law' demands declaration
Daniel Liang: It would be an insult to call Rafizah (Mohamad Ali) a mistress. Even a mistress receives monthly allowances. Rohaizat Othman first blames his business partner for embezzlement involving a land deal, and then he lies about his second wife. Even his once close friend/business partner has spoken out against him, and now his father-in-law is speaking out.
Wira: He denied the existence of a second wife where there is no reason to do so except if it is for deception. How can anyone cast his/her vote for such a dubious character?
John Smith: I guess he knows that many non-Muslims detest the idea of a man having two wives, whatever his religion says. To my knowledge, no prime minister of Malaysia has had more than one wife simultaneously since Tunku Abdul Rahman.
