However, the court agreed to waive the arrest order should the sentence be carried out within seven days.
Earlier, Syarie deputy prosecuting officer Saiful Idham Sahimi had filed three applications to the court for Kartika Sari Dewi to be held at the Kajang Women's Prison for a specific period for the sentence to be carried out.
He made the application following the appeal period against the sentence, which was handed down on July 20, having expired on Aug 3.
No appeals were made on the part of Kartika Sari Dewi.
Charged for drinking beer in Cherating
Abdul Rahman allowed the applications in his chambers.
On Dec 1, Kartika Sari Dewi was charged with drinking beer at the Cherating Bay Lounge, Hotel Legend, Cherating at 11.40pm on July 11. She pleaded guilty.
The offence for Muslims under the Syariah laws of Pahang carries a maximum fine of RM5,000 or jail of not more than three years or both and whipping of not more than six strokes upon conviction.
Following her conviction, Kartika Sari Dewi had asked for the caning sentence to be expedited so that she could "move on with her life".
