Malaysians can now keep track of Rosmah Mansor through her official website, even as daily press coverage of the premier’s wife reaches levels not witnessed before in Malaysia.

NONEThe tri-lingual website - with a fuchsia colour theme to match her outfit - includes links to her speeches, news clippings, videos, photo gallery and a dairy of her upcoming activities.

According to Bernama, Rosmah - wife of premier Najib Abdul Razak - launched the website today in Putrajaya. It is designed to enable the public to know her better.

The website includes links to organisations in which Rosmah is involved, such as the ministers wives’ club Bakti, Badminton Association of Malaysia and the Girl Guides Association.

Like her American counterpart Michelle Obama, Rosmah’s website address is an extension of the website of the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).

The website is developed by the Chief Executive Information Systems Management Division of the PMO.

Interactive elements and a function to drop comments will be added if there is demand.

‘Slander on the Net’

Rosmah urged the public not to be taken in by slander on the Internet which she described as becoming pervasive.

“Technology should be used in the best possible ways for it to be beneficial,” she said.

rosmah mansor and altantuya murder caseRosmah herself has experienced vicious cyber-attacks that linked her to the brutal murder of Mongolian national Altantuya Shaarriibuu. She has denied the allegation.

More recently, three videos surfaced on Youtube.com depicting Rosmah as being ungrateful, ashamed of her origins, overbearing and playing a dominant role in her family.

These videos, which together run for about 25 minutes, have generated mixed response on many blogs and online forums.
