The latest crackdown on protesters on the Aug 1, once again displayed police brutality against innocent and defenseless citizens for voicing their concerns over an issue close their hearts.
In the name of the Rule of Law, the government tries to put fear in us. But we won’t be cowed. We are a resilient people.

Imagine! More than 100,000 people against 5,000 police personnel during the ISA protest. If we, the people were to rebel against them, they would have been sandwich for lunch.
Yet, being law-abiding citizens, we did not react with violence. Just consider 10 policemen beating up one protester. Where’s the justice?
It is time for us to show the government we don’t fear them and collectively we need to get rid of this regime and replace it with one that is fair and just for the whole of society.
