Another great Malaysian mystery
I would like to offer my services as public relations consultant to Barisan National leaders.
I've been a great admirer of the yarn-spinning by BN-Umno over the years to to explain mishaps to defenceless members of the public whilst in the custody of your attack dogs...PDRM, UTK, and the MACC
After Francis Udayappan, A Kugan, Altantunya Shaariibuu, Anwar Ibrahim and Teoh Beng Hock, it would seem to the average Malaysian that anyone could be next.
By all accounts, the latest death looks like a real scandal in the making, even if you are the most uneducated of cabinet ministers, never mind what Mohd Nazri Abdul Aziz has to say.
We should always rely on the old, tried and tested methods. The BN-Umno favourite is to blame the victims for their own injuries. Anwar punched himself in the eye according to the Kutty from Kedah.
I was half-expecting the MSM spin doctors to insist that Altantunya shot herself in the head - TWICE - and then inexplicably blew herself up with plastics explosives.
For many Malaysians, perhaps that would have been easier to swallow than the disgusting Umno stage-managed judicial shananigans conducted in full view of the public that later followed.
Pulling wool over one's eye
BN-Umno controls the cabinet, parliament, police, judges, prosecution lawyers, defence lawyers, court witnesses, private detectives, EC, and MACC and think it can pull the wool over one's eye.
Perhaps people inexplicably feel they have to jump off tall buildings after long friendly chats with kind, gentle MACC hostesses who serve capucchino and muffins until the early hours of the morning.
As always spinesless BN-Umno controlled Malaysian news media will echo the official spin ...no one is to blame ...no one is responsible ...no witnesses ...no smoking gun, etc.
It will be just another great Malaysian mystery, like why the MACC is investigating poor people with no money when evidence of filthy rich BN-Umno family members, ministers and cronies living beyond their means is there for all to see.
If the theory of self-inflicted injuries prove unconvincing to the Malaysian public, then another step is to tarnish and demolish the good name of the dead victims - another old Umno favourite.
Altantunya was not really such an innocent woman, Francis Udayappan and Kugan were criminals.
I have no doubts Umno can find someone to do their dirty work - to ‘rat' on Teoh and tarnish his name by whatever means necessary. I'm sure Umno cyber-troopers and Utusan will obligingly chip in to help.
After all, I can't really remember a time when Umno was concerned with the truth. I can't imagine Umno giving a damn as to what really happened in the MACC building apart from what it needs to say to protect its own backside.
After 50 years of independence, Malaysians should really get used to the idea that Umno knows best, and if you ask too many questions, well you too could end up in police/MACC custody and who knows what could happen.
When has Umno ever taken responsibility?
As for MCA and Gerakan leaders, the unexplained death in Umno-MACC custody of defenceless a opposition figure is a wonderful opportunity to demand some form of payback and it must substantial for them to make Umno look good.
Finally, I'm sure Umno can resort to the old face saving device - make the death of Teoh look like a racial incident. Perhaps he deliberately jumped off the building to embarrass Umno....that way you can accuse Teoh of being a racist.
Since when has Umno taken responsibility for anything?
As for Pakatan, I sometimes think the greedy faction in PAS is too busy negotiating material rewards with Umno so as to stay silent about unexplained deaths in police custody.
Only the highly respected Tok Guru Nik Aziz and the Erdogan faction of PAS stand in the way of full intercourse with Umno.
It must be up to all decent minded honest supporters of Pakatan - Malays, Chinese, and Indians - to unseat BN-Umno at the next general election.
Altantunya, Francis Udayappan, Kugan, Teoh ...not one of you will be forgotten by Malaysian voters.
