In her report, Daisy had alleged that her 17-year-old daughter Manohara Odelia Pinot was mistreated by her husband, 32-year-old Kelantan prince Tengku Muhammad Fakhry.

Indonesian police criminal investigation division head Abubakar Nataprawira told local television station RCTI today that the mother was not cooperating with the police.

"Daisy was called by the police on May 29 to give her statement but she did not turn up. She was then called again on June 2, but she did not come," he said.

'Sexually exploited and abused'

According to him, the police were prepared to assist Daisy if Manohara was indeed abused by her husband during their nine-month marriage.

"Because Tengku Muhammad lives in Malaysia, Manohara could file a report through our foreign department. This way, the police here could coordinate with the Malaysian police," he said.

He said it was necessary to record Daisy's statement as she did not specifically mention what kind of abuse her daughter had endured in her police report.

On Sunday, renowned Indonesian model and socialite Manohara was reported to have 'escaped' from her husband with the help of the American embassy authorities from a hotel in Singapore.

The couple were in Singapore to visit the Kelantan sultan who was seeking treatment after suffering from a heart ailment.

Speaking to the Indonesian media on Sunday after fleeing to Jakarta, Manohara claimed that she was sexually exploited and abused emotionally and physically by her husband.

But this was refuted by a close friend of the Kelantan prince, businessman Mohd Soberi Shafii, who claimed that Manohara left Singapore with her husband’s consent.

No medical check-up as yet

In a related development, Manohara's legal adviser Yuri Andre Darmas said his client has yet to undergo a medical check-up.

He said it could be due to the fact that she was too busy with television interviews.

The same thing occurred the next day when Manohara did not turn up for a medical check-up.

It also remains uncertain whether Manohara would adhere to the seven-day ultimatum given by her husband to produce evidence that she was tortured and abused or risk facing legal action.
