OnandOn: How to arrest moving subjects - snatch thiefs, Mat Rempits when you dress in uniform and driving a shining police car?
If you are the snatch thiefs and Mat Rempits, will you be stupid enough to do something when the police is present? Snatch thiefs and Mat Rempits are not blind. Why the mouse want to risk itself when it can see the cat is around the corner?
Police should dress down and drive the car that like those snatch thiefs and mat rempits. In order to catch them, learn from the good example: Just like those police that show up in DAP HQ. Even their car were look like normal car in the street(without the blinking large blue LED).

Dennis Madden: I beg to differ Mr Anwar. Najib's stand is NOT masking his fear, instead he is aggressively using fear, a well known religious tactic, and oft proven political tactic in Malaysia to demoralise and depress any form of opposition .. whether it be political or individual.

The argument does not hold water, given that he also announced the coalition's intention to contest the forthcoming Manik Urai state by-election in Kelantan.
The other argument that he gave was that the Penanti by-election was an internal party problem, where the previous Deputy Chief Minister was asked to resign when there were allegations that he was involved in corruption. Since then, his name has been cleared by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission.
It appears to me more like BN was involved in trying to engineer the fall of Pakatan in Penang, and in the process, used the same tactic to pressure the then State Assemblyman of Penanti to step down.
While they have succeeded in causing the fall of Perak State Government due to the defection of the two "frogs" who were initially threatened with anti-corruption charges, in Penanti, they know that they do not stand a chance as long as the few component parties in Pakatan are together.
BN is now unwilling to face the consequences of fighting for the Penanti seat, knowing well that it would not win the by-election anyway.
On Najib: Abolish NEP
Dev Anand: Is the PM really certain that he wants to abolish the NEP which is what that keeps the large safe deposit of votes that the ruling coalition has to allow to win every general election? Even if the PM wants to be a reformer, will his party allow him to do so? The NEP has created a culture of expectations from those in powerful political positions to accept it if you are lucky and then farm it out if you can't manage it.
That has been embedded in the minds of those who thrive on this way of life that it will be entirely impossible for them to accept the PM suggestion. The commentator is right that it may attract the Chinese and Indians in Malaysia as well as the wealthy from Singapore but will it be truly implemented? It would be better for the administration to firstly put a stop to politicians who are quick to tell those who are not happy to leave Malaysia. This is the mentality that the NEP breeds. If the government wants to abolish the NEP, it has got to really mean it and do it not just talk about it.
On Stop the lies, Nalla warns opposition
Malaysian-thru-and-thru: They also have five states. What have they done for the Indians in these states?
As it is, Nalla said most of the social and economic uplifting projects in these states are being undertaken by the federal BN government.
Mr Nalla, what has BN done for the country in the last 50 years? We are nowhere close to even neighbouring Singapore (which is now classified as first world country). If you ask me this question, I will tell you that instead of going forward, we are going backwards!

Rakyat Malaysia: One thing I like about RPK is the freedom of information; we get to know some "secret" dealings of the BN government. I praise RPK for not selling those information otherwise he would be a very rich man already. I love his prediction about Pak Lah's marriage, last general election's date, result of the last general election, and etc.
However, RPK is racist and uses alot of foul languages in his writing. I know using foul languages is a mean to attract the reader, but I still don't agree on that. I still remember one of your article calling Rosmah as Najib's "sex partner" rather than his wife. It was entertaining to me as a reader but I don't know how Najib and Rosmah felt about it.
Last but not least, one precious lesson that can be learned from RPK's articles is to be critical (which involves critical thinking). So now let us be critical on you: "Teach your son to behave before teaching the rakyat" or else you will look like as the Malay saying goes "Bagai ketam mengajar anak-anaknya berjalan lurus".

Kong: Of course. As expected. The high court judge's ruling was a surprise, a pleasant surprise, but those don't come around very often in this country.
Vivian Lim: I am very disgusted and very sad about this, but am not surprised, knowing how Malaysian courts are almost completely under Umno's thumb. What did surprise me was the earlier decision by the KL High Court that Nizar was menteri besar.
So what now? Do we cave in and give up in despair? Certainly not. I strongly encourage Nizar and his team to continue doing two very important things: fight this injustice, and serve the ‘rakyat'.
Many others including myself can see the difference between Pakatan Rakyat and Umno. Umno/BN work for personal power and money. Nizar and team worked their guts out for the people despite many obstacles. Umno get their support by paying money and stirring up trouble between the races. Nizar and comrades get theirs by caring for the ‘rakyat' and keeping them united. We, the people do not listen to kangaroo courts. We know Nizar and company ARE the government of Perak.
Umno has assimilated the police force, courts, MACC, monarchy, but we, the rakyat must continue to resist by speaking up against injustices and helping Pakatan in whatever way we can. We are the last line of defence. If we give up, or believe Umno's lies and join them, Umno will degenerate until our country becomes another Myanmar.
