Better no opposition than a cranky one. Our Malaysian opposition is useless and extremist. It is better that they close shop and let calon bebas (independent candidates) do the opposing. That means, each person for himself in opposing PM Dr Mahathir Mohamad's autocratic democracy.

For non-voters who are disillusioned with the system, like myself, here are some useful tips:

  • Do not visit Dr Mahathir's pet projects or support them, unless you really have to;

  • Do get hold of Suaram Mansuhkan ISA stickers, among others;

  • Do not give money to charity, it may end up in the wrong hands;

  • Link with the left-wing of Labour in Britain and the Green Party in the USA, as these are the only organisations with the principles and guts to initiate change in any country;

  • Visit Maldives, a model Islamic state which practises the sober, modern Islamic culture free of sexy men and sexy women, and where women do have a lot of power;

  • Visit multi-racial Mauritius and the Seychelles for a taste of functioning democracy, without detentions without trial, and with independent judiciaries;

  • When you send your kids to the future Utar set up by MCA, remember to stab MCA in the back, by not voting for them;

  • Do not attend any BN party open house;

  • Learn about the Orang Asli culture as a basis for modern democratic culture. This will encourage the bumiputras to return to the ways of their ancestors, and other Malaysians will follow.

  • Do not attend pop concerts and watch the F1 in Sepang.
