Now we have Indonesian workers who riot at a factory hostel in Nilai just because the police wanted to detain those suspected of drug-taking. It is quite apparent that these people have no respect for the law.

I am of the view that the police need not take this nonsense from the foreign nationals who break our law.

There are 700,000 registered Indonesian workers in this country and you can safely guess that the number of illegal immigrants in this country far exceeds this official number.

Police and navy operations in patrolling our waters to prevent the aliens from slipping into our country is indicative that the problem of illegal immigrants is serious enough to threaten national security.

I do hope the Government will resolve this matter once and for all. I would also like to categorically state my support of whipping as a deterrent to all illegal immigrants.
