I started reading the Sin Chew Jit Poh since very young. I switched over to Nanyang Siang Pau a few years ago after I found Sin Chew to be biased and not reporting on many issues that affect the interest of the Chinese community.

Nanyang Siang Pau was the one who highlighted the SRJK Damansara and the many unfair treatments faced by the Chinese community. But this has changed.

I understand from reporter friends who work in Nanyang that all news affecting the Chinese community should not be reported. The Chinese community is now even losing the right to know.

Today, all Chinese newspapers are practically controlled by the government. They only report what the government wants the people to know.

Malaysia is now not far away from being a communist society with the media, including TV, radio and newspapers having only one voice. No criticism is allowed.

Look at what has happened to The Sun. Can anyone tell where Malaysia is heading to?
