I noticed that the news concerning the submission of a memorandum to the prime minister by the Subang Jaya/USJ SJKC Working Committee was not reported by all the Chinese newspapers, though the news appeared in the some other print media Malay Mail, NST and Utusan Malaysia on Jan 3.

(The memorandum asked the government to address the acute shortage of Chinese primary schools in Subang Jaya and USJ by speeding up the construction of SJK (C) Chee Wen and to consider changing the recently-completed USJ15 Vision School into a SJK(C) to accommodate some 4,000 Year One to Year Six pupils who had to commute out of Subang Jaya every day.

The memorandum carried 13,800 signatures gathered over a week-long campaign in late December.

This was precisely why I was worried, and I am sure most Chinese Malaysians were too, about the takeover of Nanyang Siang Pau and China Press by MCA. It seems that all the Chinese papers in the peninsula are under the MCA's rule today.

This is indeed a nightmare to the whole country.
