Is there more to The Suns plot to kill PM story?

As a former senior journalist who left the industry after the government closed down three newspapers, I wish to express my support and solidarity to all journalists who are protesting in one way or another interference in the workings of the profession.
First and foremost, I call on the rakyat not to form uninformed judgments on the incident involving The Sun.
From my own experience in the mainstream media, I am strongly of the opinion that it is a highly abnormal incident. It has never been possible for headlines like that on the alleged plot to kill the prime minister and deputy prime minister to get on the front page, especially in a mainstream media.
There must be some other darker plots to either destroy the credibility of the increasingly vocal English tabloid and even journalism as a whole, or to give the management the excuse to purge some conscientious journalists. It is time journalists unite to demand for justice and dignity.
