As a first-timer to your news site, allow me to venture a few comments.

Firstly, on editorial positioning of point of view I believe you would consider a "balanced and responsible journalism" as one of your aims (may be the main aim) - a just and truthful journalism, in short. But having read through some of your editorials and reports, it is my opinion that you are being too political in your editorial viewpoint, in the sense that you seem to think only in terms of "pro-government" (meaning pro-BN) or "pro-opposition" (pro-DAP, PAS, etc.).

If you stand for a just and truthful journalism, your point of view should be political in the general sense - you should speak/write for the civic well-being of all, without leanings for party, creed or race, etc.

Secondly, on the MCA Youth debacle. I am in agreement with Mr Foo ('Retire honourably Dr Ling', Dec 22). Our political leaders have shown that they are an unprincipled people by doing what they do to satisfy their ego, vanity and power greed; constitutions and laws really have no meaning for them.

Where is the nobility? Where is the shame? How is it that those who claim to be 'high' are so 'low' as to grovel on their bellies in the muck!
