Every child owns his or her own inner power and is capable of being developed continuously in order to meet their meaningful life. The Almighty had naturally planted great talent in each child. They have been possessed with the inner drive inside them which is responsible for their constant striving of realisation. The child behaves in more sensible ways, more positivity in his attitude, and being more productive in the way he expresses this inner drive.

We should not describe the child in a negative way although their performance level is below average. Rather than categorising them, it is better for us to analyse and find out the root cause of their undesirable behaviour. This labelling attitude creates a direct and indirect threat to a child’s early development of self-esteem. Self-esteem defined as a feeling of confidence in ourselves showing that we are worthy and beneficial person.

For example, when we begin to tag him/her negatively, unintentionally we impose an undesirable value towards them and it constantly conceptualised their inner self and they began to fix it as unalterable personality traits which will be harder for them to transform on their future life.

Children could feel the positive and healthy thoughts from the people they are surrounded with. We must encourage them not just by compelling them to do something but through providing optimistic and supportive environment where he/she would be able to discover themselves freely.

Children are unique and worthy of respect and they have inherent tendency towards growth and maturity. We should treat them with dignity and respect, to allow them accomplish their status as a talented individual. In far, many of us repudiate these ultimate necessities.

The children live in a world of their own and very few adults certainly comprehend them. They are forced to strive with one another.

They are driven by pressure from the higher-ups. Every kid should be equipped with knowledge and skills which guides them to lead productive lives in the community and to become valuable citizen not merely by forcing them to get ‘A’s’ on their academic paper, however giving them an opportunity to realise their real purpose of their existence by providing constructive environment where he/she explore themselves freely without any external forces.

We should have different ways of understanding the capability of our children as they already been preserved with the inner force to reach their life goal. It’s our responsibility to create a constructive atmosphere where they would be able to realise and cultivate their talent.

Research has proven that early stage of childhood development is very crucial and its phase assuredly influences the child’s future life. We should not merely allow our child to be free all of a sudden, yet from the beginning we should provide them with appropriate mental skills in order for them to stay on track to reach their goal of life.

Existing pre-school curriculum should revise and reform by emphasising more on the element of stimulating effectively children brain executive function in a therapeutic environment.

Mental skills

It involves mental skills such as working memory- ability to remember a thing and to carry out a task, response inhibition- stop from expressing or activities that interfere with goals, self-monitoring- checking on one’s own cognition and action to ensure that they are in line with one’s intention (Executive function and child development, Marcie Yeager & Daniel Yeager, 2013).

Most children are suffering from poor executive function skills by engaging in violent activities in school and home. Children who are trained with these mental skills in the early stage will surely be able to discover their real self in future, by us providing supportive and positive environment.

The Education Ministry should consider introducing the element of brain executive function in their primary school teacher training curriculum and also provide in-service professional training programme.

Bear in mind, there is only one life-giving and very promising technique to raise your child is by creating them an acceptable, thoughtful and constructive environment where they would be able to feel the sense of security in order to go deeper and wider into his innermost world and bring out his talent which is hidden beneath a veil of mist.
